International perspectives on artists' reimbursements for exhibitions

Our colleagues in the German Bundesverband Bildender Künstlerinnen und Künstler (BBK) have dedicated the latest issue of their magazine "Kunst Politik" 2021-3 to an international outlook on the subject of exhibition fees.

In her contribution, our federation lawyer Katarina Renman Claesson has written about how the Swedish MU agreement regulating remuneration to artists at exhibitions relates to general contractual principles, something that was tested in the so-called "Strandverket case" where a Swedish artist sued a municipality for breach of contract and won.

All the articles on the theme are available in English on the BBK website, where you can also download the German edition of "Kunst Politik".
